If you like a 240 wagon, try a 940 wagon from '93-95. Virtually all the good characteristics of the 240 with some more modern features. The 240 has its roots in the '60s, while the 940 has its roots in the early '80s when it comes to the chassis/suspension. The normally aspirated 940s actually get decent mileage too.
Have a look at the 700/900FAQ for more details.
I just sold my '92 245 and kept my '92 945T, so my bias is out in the open...
The 960 seems to be a very solid and luxurious car, but the engine must be maintained religiously to ensure it lives to a ripe old age.
Good luck!
