No, it does not come with a distributer.
You pull the points and condenser out of your existing dist.
Ther pertronix unit is only two pieces...one slides over the dist. cam and the other fits where the points were.

Keep in mind that if you are using the original 122 armored ignition switch cable and coil, you will need to either cut the armor to get to the wiring or get some kind of kit to bypass the cable (I think IPD has the kit.)

I never had to install a kit because the 140s do not have an armored cable. But I am so pleased with the Pertronix performance I would splice it in if I had a 544, 122 or 1800 daily driver.
