thanks and sorry for the lack of info...

Plenty of gas in the car.. and the fuel pump (main) was definitely working (first thing I listened for when it wouldn't start). Uphill, but.. mostly. like I said, remote dirt road, so.. bumpy, curvy, up and down.

battery fine, so even if the alternator were out, it'd run.

I was told the 'big grey plug' controls the FI brain... and there are definitely issues with the disintegrating wiring harness with this car... and that part of the harness has been into before...
