Sunroof failure mode question. 700 1987

The sunroof slides on a small piece of plastic, which may have broken. Or, if you heard the click,click ratchet sound when trying to close the roof, the wire may have slipped at the motor connection. If the latter, remove the sunroof and the motor and realign the wire cable so that both rear supports are at the open/up level and the same height.
If the plastic slide piece is broken off, you may find one at a junk yard.
