The easiest fix is to get one from salvage and replace it.
I did actually manage to repair the one from my '89 when it broke. I used Gorilla Glue. Unfortunately I can't remember how I held it together while the adhesive set up. I seem to recall using a small c-clamp. Or maybe that was my first, failed, attempt and I came up with something else.
