Ignition amplifier
Fuel system relay
radio suppression relay
RPM sensor

All of these are potential culprits for your problem, and all are pretty much maintenance/reliability issues by the time the car has over 100K mi on it. Happily none are terribly expensive, and all but the the RPM sensor are trivially easy to replace.
