Need help with cross references for my distributor 120-130

Interesting you are bringing this up. I am having similar issues.

I have a 67' that was trasplanted with a B20 before I got the car. When I needed points, They kept selling me the wrong ones. I finally got someone to look up available points and found a set that worked. In the book, the points that work were for a marine application.
So is my B20 a boat motor? or is only the distributer a boat application?
How do I find out? are there engine markings that I can loook up?
As I look for more things, I a would like to know what I am looking for.
