New Developments...? 120-130

OK Folks,

So... I finally had time over this weekend to hunt down a replacement tube for the top of my radiator and over to the engine. I then refilled most of the coolant that had been lost and took it for a drive today. It was a good long drive and it really seemed to be doing well, so I thought my problem was solved. My interior heat was even back in pretty good force. I most have run really low on coolant fluid.

I had troubling symptoms when I returned home however. I popped my lid and felt the front of my radiator all over while the engine was still idling. I was a little dismayed to discover that only perhaps 15% to 20% of the top area of the radiator was hot at all. There was also a good ammount of fluid coming out of the overflow spout and out the bottom onto the pavement. When I stopped the engine and came back, I could hear bubbling noises around the top area of the rad also, and more fluid pissin' out.

Can these radiators just get blocked up like this... all at one level like that? I thought there were numerous pathways through the rad. Could it be that my water pump is not moving water? "Air Lock" perhaps? I'm rather stumped on this one. Does anybody have any ideas on what to check or test next with this problem?

Thanks.
