Hi.
Check external condenser (shortcircuit?) and internal metallic pigtail (damaged?) before further dissasembly.

By the way, http://www.glenn-ring.com/010/ is a good tutorial about Bosch distributor overhaul (it is not the volvo dizzy, but it is very close).
