Engines swaps suck. Freshen up the existing engine and enjoy the ride.

If ya wanna modify it, put an overdrive tranny in it. Makes a world of difference and you still get the low end pull.

Clean it up tomorrow, do the brakes Saturday, upper and lower A arm bushings next weekend. Engine oil, and tranny fluid, rear axle lube changes and tune up Sunday Drive it Monday with a big ol Sh*t eating grin on your face. You would be amazed what a hard day of focused effort will yield.

Looks like minor body work to me. Clean her up and polish her. If that is original paint, you may just be shocked at the trans formation.

Don't let your wife drive it or you will have to find another one.
