73 140, safe to pull with tow bar 140-160

I'd agree that it would be best to disconnect the driveshaft regardless of gearbox type.

I'd also use a tow dolly instead of flat towing. I've done both and find that the dollys work great and you won't be putting additional stress on the bumper and mounts. When flat towing, there is no way to avoid skidding the front tires around turns to some degree.

I once flat towed the 544. Got into an intersection taking a left turn and the front wheels of the towed 544 suddenly turned in the opposite direction halfway through the intersection. That wasn't pretty. That was the last time I flat towed.
