engine code 113, part 2 200 1991

I have rolled up a lot of miles on late model bricks, and I have seen most of the common problems, but I have not yet lost an AMM. I HAVE, however, had to replace several intake manifold gaskets, and clean several idle air control valves to get rid of idle problems.

If your intake manifold gasket is more than 5 years old, stick in a new one. It is a good excuse to examine everything, clean all the vacuum ports and the EGR plumbing if you have one, and replace that rear water temperature sensor that is impossible to reach on an EGR brick until you pull the intake manifold.
