Hi,
The spare parts catalogue from 1970 (covering P130 and P220 with the B20 engine) lists 133441 as "installed in Canada", although I've never heard of one before. I think few people have. In lack of real examples, such as your car, the common perception has been that B20 Amazons (1969 and 1970) were never sold on the North American market. I guess we have been wrong.
Here's the page from the spare parts catalogue:

As for the fourth position in the type designation (a 4, as opposed to the expected 9), I have no idea why Volvo made this change between 1968 and 1969. The other two assembly plants (in Belgium and South Africa) kept their 9s. 4 was up until 1968 reserved for "export cars" which in several places in Volvo literature means both USA and Canada, but up until 1968 it meant USA only.
The reason for the Halifax plant was the stiff import rules in Canada, making it less expensive and more competitive for Volvo to assemble the cars in the country rather than importing them (as was done in the USA). The plant existed until 1998 and some of the last cars produced there were S70 and V70 (first generation). The plant was moved to Mexico. I have little more information on this plant, but if you do please share.
The type designation you list (the first six digits of the VIN) - 133441 - is incomplete in that it misses the model year character. Check the type designation plate in the engine compartment (next to the fuse box). It should end with "S" (=1969). I suppose it's unnecessary to say how much we all crave for pictures of this car. Pretty, pretty please register it in the chassis database at www.volvoamazonpictures.se. Pictures of the type designation plate, the VIN (on the torpedo wall) and of the interior are of particular interest. If the "Volvo Canadian" badge is on the trunk lid that is of interest too (and would confirm that it was assembled or possibly manufactured in Halifax).
The type designation tells us that it is a right hand steered 122 S with the B20 B engine and M40 tranny in export edition for the North American market. Read more about type designations here:

The chassis number - 335783 - confirms a late 1969:

As does the upholstery code 431-596 (blue leatherette, only on 1969 cars):

The color 99 code (medium blue or sky blue, only on 1969 and 1970 cars):
