I don't mean to offend you S, but do you really understand how high the system pressure is?

Correct Pressure:

Saginaw: 5.5- 7 MPa (780-1000 psi)
ZF, early production: 7.5 MPa (1005 psi)
ZF, late production: 5.8 MPa (825 psi)
[Volvo Service Manual, Group 64, Steering, 1975 -, Page 66, Operation K21]
