tach...? 140-160 1974

Like Evan said, the tach should be easy to find as the early 240's used the same units. I got one for my 74 144 as well from a 78 240 and it works very well. Literally plug and play installation.

As for power steering, you could *probably* source one out of an auto 140. In 1974 all autos came with p/s probably going back a year or so. Alternatively, you could retrofit one from a 164 with very minor mods. I have a 164 unit in my 144 and the car is a blast to drive around town, especially parking. I installed wider tires (195/65/15) on Virgos as the steering was a tad too light with the original 165 tires.

..and yes, mine has A/C and overdrive...I had a long wish list and it all came true over a span of 15 years..
