Howdy all,
The odd/even method is quick and dirty, but certainly produces acceptable results. I can adjust my valves in five minutes. I can live with any induced error because it will certainly be close enough to get me down the road. If accuracy is imperative, as it would be for a race engine, the best method would be to do the adjustments with the cylinder in question at TDC at the end of compression.
