'64 1800 Won't Reverse 1800

Probably is in the linkage... but one comment that caught my eye:

"First is waaay over to the left and reverse simply is not there at all."

What about second? Is it also left.. directly under first? 3rd and 4th a bit more left than the used to be?

a broken transmission mount and or motor mounts could have the whole deal left of center, and the hole in the transmission tunnel is keeping you from being able to move the lever far enough... Or if the transmission is sagging too low.. that could do it too.
