How tough to replace Steering column 200 1988

1. Vibration when braking is often the rotors. Look at tie rod ends also.

2. Steering rack replacement is an easy job once you've done it: 2 tie-rod end nuts, 4 rack nuts, 2 PS hoses and one bolt on the steering u-joint (and some prying). The column per se doesn't have to come out. Rebuilt units are ~ $250 I think.

3. Lug nut bolts are cheap: tap them out, pull new ones through. Are yours cross-threaded or just worn.
