There were lots of heads in 'regular' circulation that, like yours, didn't have the injector holes drilled. In non-US markets, Volvos were offered with carbs rather than injection after Djet and Kjet were the US norm.

I only mention this so that others won't see a head with non-drilled injector pads and instantly think they've found a Volvo Competition Service [VCS] head. Might be, but will more likely be a standard issue late B20 carb head (which is still a fine thing).
