Engine stays hot for hours 700 1988

Pardon me, the ECT is for the car's ECU, not the gauge. Look in the FAQ section on Engine: Sensors for more info on the temp gauge sensor. Looks like you'll need an intake manifold gasket too - the gauge sensor is buried under there.

I'm still a novice Brick owner, and not yet licensed to dispense advice. :O
