On your parts link ..the check valve on the booster is the middle part. You should be able to pull it out of the rubber grommet on the booster to visually inspect it. Not sure how you check it other than visual. If it looks fine you might put a bit of lube on the grommet to soften it, maybe some white lithium grease - to make sure it seals.
The one to the left is one that is one I have replaced with a boneyard part as it controlled the air working right on my 760. I have seen these located in a vac line on the firewall just at the back of the motor - in the wiring harness, or near the middle of the motor, just above the intake.
The way to 'check' that check valve is that it should blow through freely in one direction and not the other. If it blows through easily both ways it is bad.
