...the auto transmission could have issues from sitting, and maybe not.
I recently gave an 86 245 to a buddy. It had set for a year or so prior to me getting it. The tranny is going to need a part replaced because of some kind of buildup within, according to the mechanic working on it. Whatever this buildup is prevented the replacement kickdown cable from working.
