I did cut the tunnel out this weekend using your dimensions, and looked right on.

I used some black paint to mark out the location:





Even if I over cut the tunnel, it would be easy enough to make the tunnel replace section fit correctly. I was a little paranoid about cutting up the floor and didn't want to do something that was irreversible.

Does anybody know the length of the space that fits on the tranny mount? My car came with the engine and tranny removed, and I don't have the spacer anymore. In the picture below, you can see how the "F" bracket is bent because I didn't use the spacer:
