E-brake console pocket 200

I just measured old and new. The pocket from my '92's broken console is 4" wide at the top, tapering to 4-3/8" wide at the bottomn, and 3-7/8" high.

The opening in my replacement console is 3-7/8" wide at the top, 4-1/4" wide at the bottom, but the kicker is that it's only 2-7/8" tall - a full inch shorter than the original. Not enough material to trim!
