code 2-3-1 and tank pump 200 1993

You can do this with patience, some PB blaster, a bung nut tool, a new o-ring (FCP groton) for the sending unit and some vaseline to help set the o-ring. Be careful removing the sending unit as the plastic float-ball can dislodge and fall into gas tank. This leads to a perpetual ball-pinging sound emanating from said tank. Ask me how I know this. At least I was able to explain to new owner reason for the noise (benefit of doing your own repairs). You don't need to remove the gas tank. I did it in a wagon (no pun intended), and there was plenty of room. Don't know what it's like in a sedan...with regards to changing intank pump, that is.

Sounds like you live in NYC. I do, and I'm often trying to figure out ways to tinker with my 240 on the streets without drawing attention of NYPD.

Best of luck.
