If the fluid is black, flush per FAQ instructions with cheapie Walmart ATF first. No need to drop the pan, but you do need to drain and refill the pan before you begin the flush. If you really want to clean it well, add AutoRX according to their instructions. Drive 1,000 miles, then flush again with Mobil 1 ATF. The Redline is good, but Mobil is half the price and just as good.
