HELP my 81 Volvo 240 1981

Just shooting from the hip. With an intermittent issue like this, I would suspect the Fuel pump is going bad OR the relay for the fuel pump.

Next time it doesn't Start, smack the Fuel pump with a hammer (not too hard) and see it it starts.

I don't think the '81 had a crank sensor.. I could be wrong... not familiar with '81's
