Cowl problems - I need some help! 700 1987

Hi folks,

I'm having some serious problems getting my cowl off. I did find the third, center bolt - it was the valve cover to firewall engine ground bolt.

I pried the cowl up, so that lip in the center would clear the firewall. I dented the union there (on the cowl side), and need the cowl out before I can fix it.

But the cowl still won't come out!

The passenger side clips have come free. I see how they work. I can get about half the cowl to move when I pull forward on the passenger side of the cowl.

The driver's side seems glued in place. There's some black goo holding it on, and I've bent the cowl lip by pulling so hard (the neighbors are probably peering over at me, wondering why the car is rocking back and forth and I'm grunting). I pulled as hard as I could, and I'm a strong, young twenty-four-year-old.

When my dad drives up, I'll get him to help me pull. But until then... any suggestions?

Thanks!

Ari
