which compressor do you have? 200 1988

Wow. I think the must have done the high side. Apparently the only thing I have done right is buy the Haynes book yesterday. I have gauges but they have poor instructions. How do I add the PAG to the dryer? Yes this little cheapo air pump driven deal is pitiful. About the only thing I have done right is buy the manual. That is a start. I thought the dryer already had oil in it. Oops. Glad I didn't throw the old dryer away. Thanks for your help. I will study and try again this week. Additional help is obviously needed. The a/c systems are pretty intimidating to me. I have to completely convert my daughter's '83 with an old York compressor and my wife's '91 with a different system. I have the parts, but no know-how. I must also have a leak. Even though I must have charged the high side, it would not hold and the can gauge kept falling. Do I need to replace every single o-ring? I will if necessary. Hey, at this rate I might get these all these done in time for the first frost. :( -- jg
