Found this device loose in the bottom of the bellhousing after removing the plastic screens.

I do not have another flexplate readily available to inspect but perhaps it was pressed into a hole in the flexplate? or a locating pin on the seal carrier?

What ever it is it does not effect the cars ability to start and run.

So who knows what it is??
