780 Engine Knock 700 1990

This is LH2.4, so base timing is computer controled, no adjustable.

The knock, does it go away at 1500rpm or so? Get worse with RPM?

The oil pressure, I'd put a manual gauge on it and verify what it is before anything else, idiot lights are sometimes, well, idiots.

Worst case is you have low oil pressure and a spun bearing.
Best case is the light or sender is wrong and you have piston slap.
If I had to guess.
