Was the head checked for warpage? You could have just a blown head gasket. Check the compression. Turbos tend to let go arouhd 175+K miles. If two adjacent cylinders are low that's the problem. Mine blew out between 1 and 2 and it created a loud knocking sound above 1000 rpm. Your bearings may be OK.
