Oldtimer Steel timing gears on ebay

Some of the oldtime motorcycles had a gear train going up the side of the
engine. Some even had a shaft with bevel gears at each end.
I'm NOT sure they were trouble-free though!
Maybe what we need is a metal timing belt........
