comments on the 240? 200

When I purchased my first 240 - 82 242 GLT five years ago, it had, 363,000km on it...I knew the car had much more life in it...now its up over 447,000
Like all cars they require regular maintenance, but it is rewarding to fix things yourself, and not pay someone else to do it!
I do ALL my own repairs...never any major problems, but that is coming from someone who enjoys tinkering...if you don't...well...learn...these cars are an easy lesson in automotive 101

I was so impressed with this car that I purchased 3 more RWD volvos.

76 242 dl - mint! 155,000km
92 245 dl - Wifes car 185,000km
90 745 turbo - spare car/project 371,000km
and I pulled a B230ft from my friends 89 760 to eventually "re-build" and swap in to one of the 242's

These cars are a part of our family...when My wife and I got married, she had her Father drive her and her brides maids to the wedding in the 76 242dl (who needs a rolls royce???)
My groomesmen and me rode in my 82 242GLT - we have wedding pictures with the Volvos in the back ground! yeah totally obsessed!

they are that good, try it out you will you may fall in love too...

Dave
