FPR/Fuel Pump Noise 140-160 1972

I'm not sure if D-Jet is that smart. It's just a thought based on my nightmarish experience with the 740.

I *do* know that the D-jet pump is capable of producing at least twice the PSI the system needs and the FPR keeps the pressure from building that high by returning the fuel to the tank. So if the FPR was clogged or otherwise non-functional your pressure could be building up higher than spec... It would explain your nasty fuel pump noise too. That's not a good sign.

It's possible and kinda fits your economy/driveability symptoms. At least worth checking with a Pressure Gauge....

Have you checked out the swedish bricks D-Jet FAQ?

Here's one for the Porche with D-Jet that includes rebuild instructions
