I once had a 54408A (1959) and a 54408B (1960) at the same time. Both with B16's and 6V system. The '59 had the "PV544" in the trip meter window and unlabeled warning lights with round bezels. The '60 had a trip meter and a labeled warning lights with doghouse-shaped bezels.

My 1964 544D has warning lights with silk-screened lenses and no bezels. And a trip meter, of course.

I think it's interesting. Probably no one else does. I have photos if you need them.
