stuck in overdrive!! 120-130

I'll tackle the easy part first. No, the J will not bolt up in place of the D.

Now the hard part: Stuck on. Let me count the ways!!

Electrical on means power is not being turned off somewhere. Duh pretty obvious about what but where?? General power flow. Battery, fuse, On/Off switch which either goes through the 4th gear switch on tranny to solenoid or to a power relay which feeds from battery to solenoid.

If a test at solenoid inidcates power with switch off, find the relay or incorrect wiring and correct.

If test at solenoid indicates no power, remove cover over solenoid adjustment area. Is the solenoid connected to the actuating arm? Out of adjustment? Actually functioning?

If you do not have adjustment instructions or how is should look inside, e-mial me and I'll get the info to you.

Duane
