Quick hint on finding an electrical short 700 1989

Hi Andrew
I use my test light to find the drain, old fashion way and always work,i think this will answer your question, here is how:
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery, and leave the positive cable connected ,now connect your test light one side to the negative battery post and the other side to the negative cable (another assistant would be helpful), if you have a drainage the test light will light up,go inside the car with all doors shut and start pulling the fuses one by one until the test light turns off,and when it does you found your culprit,(for example ,in my daughter car it was the radio fuse,i disconnected the radio cable and still had the test light on but when i disconnected the amplifier cable the light went off, changed the amplifier and all is well).
I hope this answer your question, good luck and keep us posted,God bless.
