Cool beans. Thanks for the advice.
I'm definitely going to get a good helmet, and planning on spending about 200 to 300$ on equipment, not including boots and gloves.
I'm gonna get chaps because I've heard some stories about jeans coming apart like nothing, and definitely research a good helmet (full face because I like having a jaw).
And I'm not sure if I want leather or synthetic for the jacket. I think that I would prefer synthetic because it would be more abrasion and impact resistant.... but I now realize that it might make it hard to move, which would make it hard to maneuver, so I'm looking at leather too.
It needs new tires too, and I'll probably get them put on at a shop, unless I decide to tackle it myself.
And I will definitely continue to appreciate my brick's safety, the bike is something I've wanted, and I decided that I want to go for it, since I have the opportunity.
