If the car is cranking over with normal speed the battery is probably fine. The symptoms you describe are not normally associated with a weak battery (or an oil leak, which I encourage you to look into once you get your driveability problem diagnosed).

What you are experiencing could be caused by many different things. The easiest way for the people here to help you is provide OBD (OnBoardDiagnostic) codes.

They are not difficult to retrieve. You need to read about the procedure and then perform the retrieval. At that point you will have one or more fault codes to report back with.

You can read about the procedure by going to the FAQ's from this site which are accessed via the drop down menu in the extreme upper right hand corner. This is what you are looking for:

Read the information and then see if you can get the fault codes to post back to this post of yours (this keeps all the information together).
