a question for the engine swappers out there 200

a really nice late model low mileage piston oil squirter red block 940 turbo engine and auto transmission has come my way. if i want to swap this into a tired red block 1992 240 do i need to change the ECU as well to the same one the 940 used to run or will my 92 240 ecu work?

any other tips on electrical/computer changes i need to do is appreciated.

the mechanical aspects i think i have pretty well in hand. it is engine control and computer aspects i am not sure of.
