$100.00 Key 120-130

Ok, here's my spin on this key issue....So I'm constantly twisting off the ignition key for my '67 130. How to solve this?

I went to a local, old-timey locksmith/key maker here in Knoxville, Tennessee. (Imagine the Key Maker guy from Matrix Part 3).

Showed them a good, non-twisted version of the ignition key. They ordered me about 10 blanks. When they came in I went back and had them grind them up for me. Cost $5 per key - the blank and the grinding and some pleasant interaction with the cute girl at the counter.

Yep, my ignition tumbler is really tough to turn, but now that I have a good supply of keys, this problem moved off my "must remedy" list and I've moved on to more important things like brakes. Check my other new post if you need some brake shoes!

This "buying stuff on ebay" is fine for some stuff but if a problem can be solved locally and as simply as possibly--I go that route first. Yea, Autozone doesn't have remanned brake calipers for old Amazons, but they've got alot of other good shtuff.

Why make things more complicated than necessary? Just my opinion.

Merry Christmas to all fellow Amazon drivers!
Patrick.
