Thanks for the reply.

It was cold out there yesterday, and the car started with when jumped, so I didn't go much further. I'll do further testing today.

I did test the volts when the key was turned to the start position, (solenoid clicking, starter would not engage)- never went below 10.75, and bounced back to 12.5 within 30 seconds after the load was removed.

I'm leaning toward a connection problem - altough I thought a wire problem would also prevent a successful jump.
