the car cranks plenty well, it just acts as if only one cylinder were firing when it's this damn cold. lots of cranking, a boost, some ether into the TB, and eventually it went, one cylinder at a time until I could let go of the key and let it chug along on three, then after 15 seconds, number four finally woke up. I think I like the suggestion of towing it with a moving van best!
But- both of my 240s are LH2.4 cars, the dreaded pink label 561 ECU in the '90 works fine, and the vaunted 951 in the '93. but is what Art says true about the cold start injector? (I'm not going outside to look in this weather) could it be that we have an instance where the 561 is actually a superior system? This 93 also idles wierd when it's this cold, surging a little now and then, like when idling in gear with the brakes on, or right after startup... it's as though the computer doesn't know what to make of this extreme cold air. (have the Swedes gone soft?)
