GEEZ guys what are you complaining about ... when I finally got back to Edmonton after Xmas in then balmy Nova Scotia, I got off the plane to -42C with a wind chill of -54C .... Needless to say that after sitting in like temperatures for a couple of weeks my poor little Chebby S 10 wouldn`t even turn over with a jump. The next day I had it towed thanks to AAA to the closest open garage and found the battery frozen solid .... as soon as a new 850 cranking amp battery was installed she started right up and ran like a champ. Up here 3.5 hours north of Edmonton we keep them plugged in with a block heater day and night ... the real killer setup is both a block heater and a electric battery blanket. I have been told that really the battery blanket is all that is needed but I think the wear and tear on an engine without the block being warmed is too great for my liking. Finally getting a break from the cold it actually hit +10C here today WOO HOO !!
