Be careful what you wish for! The awd MB wagon is a nice car, but check out all of the little things that can go wrong with them. MB is not very advanced in the electronics dept, what I consider nice things to have for the middle seat passengers. The cargo carrying capacity is not nearly as good as the Volvo. And maint is VERY expensive, even more than the Volvo dealers.
Volvo screwed up on the 04-08 front seats, but some have said that was remidied in 09. The dealers are making every effort to sell inventory, so do not rely on the sticker price.
Getting a CPO will work for the drivetrain, but not cover the picky plastic parts. Check out MB complaints, compliments here:
