clutch differences? 200

I'm getting ready to do a clutch change on the old warhorse, and I may have hit a snag. My 1990 has a 4-speed with the Laycock overdrive unit, obviously not original to the car. FCP Groton lists the clutch as "1987-up". the engine is LH 2.4, so I believe it to be the same as the car. Where is the change in '87, the flywheel? the transmission shaft? e.g. do I need the newer or older style clutch? (or should I just say screw it and go get a 5-speed out of one of the parts cars?)
