OIL LIGHT on a 1967 122s automatic

Thanks guys for the info...took the car out today for a ride to get gas and saw that the oil light would flicker on when I was standing still and then went off when I fed the gas..it was pretty consistent with that appearing...Each time it sat still at idle, the light would come on, once I gave the gas, it would go off. What do you think I should check?? It really is not that comfortable for me to drive around with the light intermittently coming on, thanks again, Lynn at chmtnbliss@cs.com today is Sat. the 31st
