OK here is the old fashion way to test. install the alt get everything hooked up start the car and at a fast idle hold a standard screw driver at the rear of the alt near the center where the bearing housing is and a fast idle its a magnet and will hold the screw driver,if it dosn't hold the driver it's not putting out. Dick
