overheating, next drivability issue to tackle 140-160 1968

You may get a little spilling out - probably less than it looks like, but what I have found is that if the coolant level is below the neck so there is an air space, not much will come out. However, if you have the cap off and "gun" it you will likely have a whole bunch come out. Raising the idle slowly to check the flow will not spill much - at least when I do it, I don't have that problem.

Remember though, keep the cap off during the warm up. DO NOT open the cap when the car is up to temp, then you would be at risk of scalding yourself.

Don't forget to top off the coolant when you're done.
